Tides Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is affiliated with team Nova Uniao which is one of the biggest and most successful Jiu-Jitsu schools in the world. Nova Uniao is famous for training Jiu-jitsu and MMA champions. Hiram has been part of this team for years and has trained under extremely distinguished coaches such as Leo Santos, Andre bastos and Antionio Palagano. Our head coach Hiram Sant’Anna is a Brown belt and has many years of experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with an impressive competition record nationally and internally also competing in Brazil. Our students have the opportunity and are encouraged to compete if they so wish with a great coach by their side, they’re able to compete in IBJJF competitions internationally.

Tides Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy is located in the heart of Carrickfergus in 19A West Street. There is ample free parking close to the academy, free parking can be found beside the Carrickfergus castle. We have state of art floor mats from Fuji specifically designed for BJJ and grappling and we pride ourselves in having an inclusive atmosphere and a clean environment.
